Spanish Style::

I recently bought this book Spanish Style, by Kate Hill, when I was visiting a Design convention back in May. Hill and her photographer Tim Clinch traveled to spain and research/photographed 22 hand picked hotels and home's that are documented in this book. I love Spanish style homes because it truly feels like you come home to a vacation. Spanish style uses materials such as stone, wood, marble, tile and iron, and yet embraces the movement of water and wind, light and shade. The great thing about spanish style is you can have your color tones either neutral eart tones, or bright yellows, greens, reds and blues. Either way you definitely get your point across with your tile walls, wrought iron doors and hardware, dark wood floors, marble vanities, as all these elements are combined your Hacienda is complete. The great thing about this book is it doesn't only show you the traditional Spanish Style, but it shows you how you can use the Spanish style in more contemporary, modern and eclectic spaces.  Here are some photos from the book Spanish Style, by Kate Hill, to get you inspired.
