Modern Living Rooms::

I was doing some research online the other night on Elle Decor and came across these fabulous modern living rooms. I found it funny how each one was so different from one another yet they all fell under the same "modern" category. In my opinion most of them seem more updated classic. Some gave off this cold and calm vibe with the use of the light blue and gray tones and others used bright warm colors, giving the room some life and character.

I love this all white room, that zebra hyde adds some great boldness to it!

Everything in this room seems so controlled and ordered, from the neutral color scheme to the detailed, custom recess lighting, the use of the red tile unleashes some fire and energy to the room.

This room definitely seems more retro-glam rather than modern. Love the color of that 1940's sofa, found from a Paris flea market

You would usually see those pendant chandeliers in a restaurant or store front, but I think they add a great dimension to the room, especially since everything else is more square, with sharp edges.

Usually in a room with high ceilings, you would install items that are taller/longer, but everything in this room sits pretty low, which adds this zen quality to it. The only thing that is tall in this room is that brown end table with the circular base, which stands out more because of its size.

This overall monochromatic living room is very dark and masculine, but the olive green curtains and white walls let the room breath and not become too overpowering.
