Few weeks ago my friend sent me a link on some very unique staircase designs, so I got inspired by him and I wanted to share a few images with you guys. I really get a kick out of seeing things that are so innovative. For the most part, when designing such an element as a staircase, right away we think of the safety and stability of the stairs instead of the the design aesthetics. Why not add safety and beauty all together? When we usually look at things in this world in every day life and in the art world, we take advantage of the process it took to create that thing. Things don't just pop up out of nowhere. There is a process and specific guidelines we need to follow for pretty much anything we create in this world. And when we look at artwork or design we automatically look at the "beauty" and "visual" translation of the object opposed to the process it took to create it. Staircases get us from one floor to the other, safely if it is built correctly. Designers, Architects and Contractors are those who make sure our homes are built safely and are stable. I guess what I am basically saying, in a nutshell, is that these staircase designs are pretty awesome, given the fact that they are uniquely designed visually as well as functionally.

Who wouldn't want a staircase/slide in their home! We all know the kid in us never leaves!
I would NOT go up these stairs!

This design is pretty cool. You go up from the right side, and come down from the left.
I really like this staircase with its double functionality. Takes you up to the next level and you can use it for storage. It's practical, functional and it looks pretty decent too!
