Friday Quotes:

I want to try and get into a routine where I leave off every week by sharing some quotes with you all. My mom was sharing a quote by Andre Breton that really caught my attention, so I wanted to start off my first attempt by sharing quotes from several Surrealist artists.
Surrealist works feature the element of surprise, unexpected juxtapositions and non sequitur; however, many Surrealist artists and writers regard their work as an expression of the philosophical movement first and foremost, with the works being an artefact...
Here are a few of my favored quotes.. Have a great weekend everyone!

"My wish is that you be loved to the point of madness"

"Humor (is) the process that allows one to brush reality aside when it gets too distressing."

-Andre Breton

"Art may be bad, good or indifferent, but, whatever adjective is used, we must call it art, and bad art is still art in the same way as a bad emotion is still an emotion."

" I have forced myself to contradict myself in order to avoid conforming to my own taste."

Marcel Duchamp

The Art Of Surrealism.

"Have no fear of perfection - you'll never reach it."

"Mistakes are almost always of a sacred nature. Never try to correct them. On the contrary: rationalize them, understand them thoroughly. After that, it will be possible for you to sublimate them.  "

"Everything we see hides another thing, we always want to see what is hidden by what we see.”

"Art evokes the mystery without which the world would not exist."

-Rene Magritte
